Hoodie Vaia's Breath - limited edition (Black)
This new limited edition Hoodie has been created to support the DocuFilm "Nella Pelle del Drago" (In the Dragon's skin), an epic tale regarding the recreation of the unique Vaia Dragon Sculpture in Trentino (Italy) (take a look to the pictures below).
ABOUT THE PROJECT
In August 2023, a devastating fire reduced the Drago Vaia sculpture, located in the municipality of Lavarone in Trentino Alto Adige, to ashes. This imposing work was created by artist Marco Martalar from the wood of trees destroyed by the Vaia storm. This vile act not only destroyed a work of art but deeply wounded the soul of a community. However, it is foolish to think that a dragon can be killed by fire.
A year later, Marco Martalar has returned stronger and more determined than ever to respond to this destructive act with a new creation: a majestic black dragon, forged from the charred wood of the previous one. It is the largest wooden dragon in the world, a symbol of resilience and rebirth.
Nella pelle del drago is a documentary film directed by Katia Bernardi that narrates Marco's courageous journey in creating this new work, as well as the open wounds of a mountain community questioning the reasons behind this destructive act and who might have committed it. It is a deepdive into the creative process of an artist obsessed with fire, an exploration of the complex and contradictory relationship between man, nature, and art.
